About Me
Hi, I'm Candace, a reader, poet, and teacher living in Portugal.
I'm a solo mom to two children and have lived in three countries. My life has been about storytelling, finding beauty in transitions, and learning what it means to create a home in unfamiliar places.
I created Paper Boat Letters as a way to connect with a way of life that I feel many of us miss. The joy of receiving a letter, knowing that someone took the time to write to you and that you are not alone. Slowing things down a bit.
I write from three places: from the lighthouse at Cabo da Roca, where I contemplate light and storms, from my kitchen table with a view of a Templar castle and market, and the banks of the Tagus River.
